The Yellow Jackets (1-10 & & 1-4) will look to improve from last years disappointing season. Senior QB Tyson Davis threw for 1026 yards and 6 touchdowns will now be playing tightend. The QB position is up for grabs between juniors Marion Holmes and Jai Rorie. The Yellow Jackets running game will be dangerous with senior Jaleel McLaughlin 728 yards and 13 TDs and junior Kendrick McLaurin 642 yds and 5 TDs carrying the load for head coach Cory Smith. Both McLaughlin adn McLauren are UCHSF O-POY Candidates. Senior Jaquan Williams is the leading retuning receiver with 33 receptions and 235 yards and one TD. Junior Keeshawn Tyson returns after 18 receptions, 205 yards and 2 TDs.

The Yellow Jackets defense loses their top 2 tacklers with the graduation of Tyrese Marsh and Nigel Wingo. Seniors Christian McFadden and Jaleel McLaughlin return after a stellar 2016 season. McFadden had 78 tackles in 2016 and McLaughlin recorded 46 tackles and led the Yellow Jackets in interceptions with 3. Tyson Davis led the Yellow Jackets in sacks in 2016 with three in 2016. The Yellow Jackets will open up the 2017 season at Sun Valley on August 18th
