The Panthers made the move back to the 3A/2A Rocky River conference for 2023 and that should prove to be promising in 2023. The Panthers showed flashes at times in 2022 for 1st year HC Aaron Braswell. The Panther offense will turn to junior QB Zach Dilworth to lead them in 2023. Dilworth has good size at 6’4 but only played in one game as a sophomore, throwing 1 pass for 8 yards vs. Cuthbertson. Senior RB Nathan Gagnon returns after a 395 rushing yards 2 TD season in 2022. Senior WR Chas Tanner is the Panther leading receiver from 2022 that is returning after 13 receptions for 103 yards as a junior.
Defensively the Panthers will be anchored by senior defensive-end Luke McKee. McKee played in 7 games as a junior recording 21 tackles (16 solo) in the limited time. Next to McKee on the defensive line will be junior Davion Davis. Davis returns to the defensive line at tackle after 25 tackles in 8 games last season. The Panthers open the 2023 season at Concord on Aug. 18th.
