Piedmont Panthers

Piedmont: The Panthers (6-6, 1-4) will continue to improve under HC Luke Hyatt. The Panthers will have a new QB under center with the graduation of Hadden Gsell. The Panther ran for 3496 yards and 2426 of those yards are gone with the graduation of Kris Missick (1690 yds/15 TDs) & Jordan Deese (584 yds/10 TDs). The Panthers only threw the ball 21 times in 2015 and their leading receiver Tyler Williams (8 catches/259 yds/3 TDs) graduated.

The Panthers return their leading tackler in senior Garrett Hinson (117 tackles). Jacob Mosley and Tyler Crotts both return after a very productive 2015. Crotts registered 75 tackles and Mosley was 3rd on the Panthers with 77 stops for Coach Hyatt. Mosley led the Panthers with 6 sacks and a fumble recovery.

The Panthers will feel the loss of Ladale Talley. Talley scored 5 TDs in 2015. 3 Kick-off returns, a fumble return and interception return for TDs. The Panthers will look for a new kicker as well with the graduation for Jack Kiker (44 PAT’s and 7 Field goals). The Panthers will be on the road for the 1st five weeks of this season starting out at Hickory Ridge on August 19th.
