Piedmont Panthers

Piedmont (2-8, 0-5)

The Panthers showed flashes in 2021 for 1st year HC Aaron Braswell. The Panther offense took a hit with senior RB Layton Duke (1047 yds & 7 TDs) transfering to a privagte school.Senior QB Chase Fesmire (420 yards/2 TDs) will the give the Panther a solid dual-threat option. The Panthers threw the ball more last year than the 4 previous seasons combined. Senior WR Justin Smith (16 recs/115 yds/1 TD) returns and should be a target.

Defensively the Panthers graduate their top 5 tacklers from 2021 and will have to rebuild the defensive line in 2022. Senior DB Devine Stevenson returns (28 tackles/20 solo) had 3 picks in 2021. Stevenson will be joined in the defensive backfield by Jake Everett (27 tackles) for the 2nd season in a row. The Panthers open the 2022 season hosting Forest Hills on Aug. 19th.
