2021 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The 2021 UnionCountyHighSchoolFootball.com's Defensive Player of the Year is Parkwood's Cody Hardy. ROCKY RIVER DEFENSIVE POY, ALL-ROCKY RIVER, Led Parkwood in tackles with 92 including 24 solo tackles. Had 10+ tackles in 5 games including a season high 15 tackles in win over Anson Co. Registered 4.5 sacks (2 vs. Forest Hills) and 1 interception vs. Anson Co. Had 25 receptions for 295 yards & 5 TDs along with 28 yards rushing and 1 TD along with 2 2-pt conversions on offense. Helped lead the Wolf Pack to an 6-3 record and into the 2nd round of the 3A state playoffs despite having 3 games cancelled due to Covid. Congratulations Cody!!
