The 2014 UnionCountyHighSchoolFootball.com's Player of the Year is Cuthebrtson's Austin Kendall. Kendall re-wrote the Union Co. record book for quarterbacks in 2014. Austin set the Union Co. record for attempts (513), completions (310) and 4461 passing yards. Austin shattered the Union Co. record for passing TDs with in a season with 49. Austin tied another passing record when he threw for 6 TDs in a playoff win over Asheboro. In Kendall's best game of 2014 he threw for 447 yards and 4 TDs and ran for 2 TDs in 42-38 win over Weddington. Kendall helped lead the Cuthebrtson Cavaliers to their best season in the young schools history, finishing with a 11-4 record, an Southern Carolina Conference Championship and a trip to the State Semi-Finals. Austin would go on to play football at Oklahoma, West Virgina and Louisiana Tech. Congratulations Austin!
