Piedmont Panthers

Piedmont (1-9, 0-5)

The Panthers have a new head coach and new attitude in 2024. New head coach Daniel Dillard hopes to bring success back to the program. Dillard served as the defense coordinator for the Panthers last season. Piedmont is looking to rebuild, and it starts with the QB position which is an open competition between sophomore’s Jack Blakeslee and Jaxon Lee. Senior RB Nathaniel Gagon returns to the running attack after 400 yards, (124 yds vs. Monroe) and a TD in 2024.

Defensively the Panthers return 3 of their top 5 tacklers from 2024. It starts with senior defensive end Javion Davis. Davis is coming off a wonderful season, where he was named to the All-Rocky River at defensive end. Davis finished the season with 48 total tackles in 7 games and was a dominant force. Sophomore Davis Weycker is expected to make an impact after 51 tackles in 10 games last season as a freshman. Junior Rylan Russ will continue to improve after a 48 tackle 1 sack season in 9 games. The Panthers open the 2023 season hosting Concord on Aug. 23rd.
